The world is my oyster

Enough said.

Sometimes you just have to go deep into the forrest and let yourself go.
Be one with nature.
Take a moment and breathe in life.
Listen to the birds chirp. Hear as the water trickles by. Let the wind hit your faces as it whispers by.

Today was such a day.
David has gone away for the weekend for a friends birthday.
So after the gym with Kerry this morning I decided to go wandering.
Not all who wander are lost.

I just wanted to step away from all the busy and be calm.
The wind was blowing very fierce. Not quite Sasha fierce but enough to get the trees a bustling.
I love that sound.
If I could bottle it up and just put it in my pockets for those times when you just want to scream I would. Wouldn't that be great?
I mean I realise they have white noise apps, cds and you can record it but it's not as real as when your stuck in the middle of it all.

Ahhhhh nature.

When you need to just step back and have some you time where is it?

Thank you all by the way for the feedback.
I don't have quite enough questions yet for a vlog post but I have noted them and will answer them when and hopefully if some more questions come in.

For now I am going to put some Gossip Girl on.
Snuggle with Luna and maybe even have a Skype date with my beautiful mother and Oma.

Have a lovely Saturday y'all.

FRIDAY

Sorry I can't see you without my glasses on

Oh hello there creepy eyes. I look like a salamander :p
It's Friday!
So I have a question.
Do I still have readers?
Or have I put you off by my lack of absence?
I sure hope you do find yourself coming back.
I'd like to open up to let you get to know me a bit better.
Please ask some questions and then I'll answer them with a vlog post.
This is where I find out that the only person still reading my blog is my mother. hahaha
For my sanity someone please if you read this ask anything. Or at least give a shout out as to what you'd like to see more of on the blog?

Have I said already that it's Friday? Roll on 6pm.

Anyone have any good weekend plans? David is going away for a friends birthday. So Luna and I will probably have a girl party the two of us. :p

Have a great day y'all need to pop off to work now.

Currently

Reading: Well I just finished the last Hunger Games book and am now looking for something new to get lost in. Please I would love some suggestions? But blog wise check out this AMAZING post by my friend Brittany (Newly engaged CONGRATS :)) over at Itty Bitty Bomb. How absolutely adorable does she look? I mean hello gorgeous and how inspirational and empowering. Im so proud of you Brittany for sharing such a personal piece of yourself. Chin Chin. Also over on Hannah's blog she's got some lovely little Jubileeness going on. Another lovely lady I'd like to take my hat off too. I dont know if you guys realize how much she's had on her plate and then still finds time to blog for me. Which I've been lacking ever so much. How amazing are her playlists? I'm loving them. I'm quite excited to get lost in all the mixes on my way back home.

Watching: Life go by so fast. Is it seriously almost July 27? Have David and I actually been married almost a year? How is this even possible I feel like I was just picking David up from the airport as my boyfriend and driving him back as my fiance. I feel like I've lived in England for a century. If you aren't my friend on facebook and haven't seen the little video I put up on vimeo from our wedding you can view it here. Ahhhh whats that? Oh just nostalgia knocking on the door.

Anticipating: I'm going to sound like a complete broken record stuck on repeat but going home. I haven't seen my mom in shy of a year. I haven't been home in a year and some change. I am so ready to just literally lay in the pool with my mom and oma. HIGHLY SUNSCREENED. Get my eat on with so many deliciousness. Bake, sew and hopefully give knitting another go.

Laughing about: these funny pictures on Emma's blog of David trying to steal my ice cream. Don't come in between me and my ice cream. NO JOKE. :) He's lucky he even got a small bit. Next time he will learn to get his own. OH i do love him I'm only kidding. I'd share my ice cream anyday with him.

Listening to: Other than like EVERYTHING that was on Music Mondays. David has found this SICK band that we have been literally blasting non stop in the Aden house. I just love the grit and imperfections that make it perfect. Oh I can just imagine them to be so amazing live. Mmmmm. This one and The Plank are my favourite of theirs if I had to chose although they are all brilliant.

Eating: Well nothing I'm actually in bed but I did have some nice strawberries and raspberries before I came to bed.

Working on: a few things actually. David and I have been working on our future plans (again NO this does not entail  babies before my mom starts grinning and getting excited on the other side of the screen). We are taking this pretty serious and have been really really working out plans and research on our special project. I've been trying to work on some time management so I can blog more, spend time with David, work and also fit in some gym time and then also down time.

Wishing: Family lived closer. Certain Friends lived closer. That it was warmer. Money grew on trees. Mornings didn't come so fast. The list goes on...

Thanks again for Danielle  who've I get inspiration for these posts. She gets them from Megan the  original inspiration for these posts.

DIY Necklace display

Good afternoon y'all.
Today I've got a little project I thought I would share.
You will need a picture frame, spoons, forks, material, hot glue gun, buttons, and whatever else your heart desires to decorate.
I took out the back of the picture frame and started wrapping the picture frame with lace. I mix and matched my lace just to give it a bit more character.
Once wrapping the lace around I bent two spoons and two forks.
I then hot glued them to the back of the picture frame.
I added a few extra decorations to the side.
Put two nails in the wall to place in the corner of each frame to hold it up.
Covered the nails with a button each so it didn't look like a nail.
Put some lace around the spoons.
Then placed my necklaces in/on their new home.

Tell me what you think. Do you like it? If you do try it (it's so simple) Please share your version I'd love to see what you come up with.

Music Mondays

Why hello there, on this Jubilee weekened. I guess I should have planned ahead and done a regal British affair however, these five are just two good I have to shout about them right away.

First up, what better way to start than our very own British beauty, Florence.

1. Florence & The Machine - Spectrum

Florence Welch also known collectively as a collaboration of other artists providing backing music as the highly acclaimed Florence & The Machine, are an English indie pop band.

The band have created several masterpieces, with their debut album 'Lungs' reaching the number one spot after charting for twenty-eight consecutive weeks in 2009. 'Ceremonials' was the second album release and came towards the end of 2011, debuting at number one in the UK and respectively number six over the water in the US.

It seems Florence can do no wrong, having won several prestigious awards such as the Critic's Choice Award at 2009 BRIT Awards and MasterCard British Album award at 2010 BRITs for 'Lungs'.

The newly released single, 'Spectrum' is another of Florence's heavenly delights, scheduled for release in July. The theatrical song is the perfect blend of the bands familiar rock and gospel sound and is set to be another hit for the incredibly talented singer-songwriter.

2. Misty Miller - Remember

Reminiscent of a young Laura Marling, this seventeen year old displays talents way beyond her years. Miller shows talent not only in songwriting but through her wondrous ukulele abilities and polished vocals.

With a blend of catchy folk and pop, this artist is surely not one to be missed. Having started to sing at an early age, Miller followed in her older brothers footsteps and picked up a guitar at the age of nine. This marked the start of Millers songwriting and the melodies began to flow, having recorded 'Remember' at the young age of twelve, it's fairly clear to see a raw talent, undoubtedly one to watch in the upcoming years.

3. Boy & Bear - Blood To Gold

Hailing from Australia, Boy & Bear are an indie-folk music band which formed in 2009. Initially intended as a solo project of vocals and guitar, Dave Hosking was joined by Killian Gavin, later expanding their band with the addition of bass guitar, drums, banjo, mandolin and keys.

It seems Boy & Bear come with a backing many could dream of in the folk world, for in 2010 they came to Britain landing support to our very own Laura Marling. Since, they have supported Mumford & Sons on several of their Australian dates.

The band released their debut album 'Moonfire' in 2011 and reached no.2 in the ARIA Albums Chart. Following this, their success accelerated, winning five awards at the ARIA Music Awards of 2011, including Breakthrough Artist and Album of the Year.

4. The Honey Trees - To Be With You

The Honey Trees are an indie pop band originating from San Luis, California. Consisting of Becky Filip and Jacob Wick, the dreamy duo recorded their first EP, 'Wake the Earth' in 2008, later released in 2009.

In this same year of 2009, they embarked on a small Californian tour, aptly named, 'The Teeny Tiny Tour'. The duo, along with touring members Aaron Wick, Aaron Coleman and Kevin Foster, are currently focusing on new material and I hope to see them release a tour soon.

5. Tallest Man on Earth - Where Do My Bluebird Fly

Hailing from Sweden, Kristian Matsson aka The Tallest Man of Earth has released three full length albums and two EPs. Best known for the recording and production of his own records, his vocals and intricate guitar abilities are amongst the best.

With comparisons rife to the likes of Bob Dylan, both in terms of vocal style and songwriting abilities, it comes as no surprise that the talented artist has landed support to the likes of Bon Iver, captivating many an audience with his powerful stage presence.

His single 'Where Do The Bluebirds Fly' is a display of his exceptional talent and features on his debut album, 'Shallow Grave', released in 2008. His upcoming third studio album, 'There's No Leaving Now' is scheduled for release next week, 11th June.

Hope you're having a great Monday and enjoying the time off if you're reading here in the UK.
Once again, a pleasure as always,

Hannah

Peak District.

We've been planning on meeting up with our friends Emma and Michael since we went to visit them in February. This weekend we both finally had some free time to meet up. Emma found a lovely placed called Leek where we met (somewhat in the middle) and then headed to Bakewell. Both are absolutely stunning. The drive is always breathtaking and you can visualise what England used to be like. There was lots of fog that day and it was very Jane Eyre like. They brought their adorable puppy Dotty up with them as well. She's just too cute. We ate good food, had lots of laughs and as usual hated saying good bye. I wished we lived closer together but it makes the time spent together more precious.

Just a few pictures snapped from yesterdays travels. Thought it would be better than no post at all. I shall upload some more recent pictures of things going on hopefully tomorrow.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend and ready for some Jubileecous few days off. Yes I went there.

Good night y'all.
