Decoupage

You wanna know what happens when you have a shed load of magazines and empty jars laying around?
You decoupage my friends.

Just get some magazine scrapings and cut them up. Ooops I'm sorry Ryan Reynolds!!

Then I also decided to make a magazine flower for y'all. you can do this with any type of circular anything really. Magazine, newspaper, felt, tulle literally anything that isn't too hard like cardboard. I think that would probably be a bit complicated. This is how I made the bridesmaids flowers this summer but out of doilies.

What you'll need:

Material of choice
Scissors
hot glue gun
spare cardboard ( I used an old cereal box)

I cut lots of different sizes of circles out of magazines

You just take a circle and just kind of fold it and I would dot little bits of glue in the creases.
Just start glueing each piece to the circle piece of cardboard. You can scatter them and if pieces end up larger than you want you can always trim.
I added some pearly beads in the middle for a bit of character.
Above is one of the bridesmaids bouquets I made out of tea stained doilies and old book pages.
Next time I'll show you how to stem the flowers.

Now for a look at those jars....

I find deco paging quite therapeutic. I also like that you can literally decoupage ANYTHING. I like how you can update a look by just ripping up a magazine or newspaper. My old dresser at my mom's house is decoupaged. I also have a few jewellery pieces that I've done. Maybe another tutorial is in order? What do you think?
